I am trying so hard to understand how to make a paper in APA format. I have attached a rough draft, but my teacher says it is not in APA format. She didn't give me any revisions. All I know is if I don't get this right I will fail.  Can you please help me guide or give me an example of what I am doing wrong or how I can approve?

Abstract In this research paper, I am going to discuss the role of a Human Resource representative and

 

why I choose this as my career path. I will explain the job description, requirements and daily

 

functions. I will research job availability and analysis of the pay scale an at the local, state,

 

and national level. I will include an analysis of the potential job stressors & hazards of being

 

a Human Resource representative. I will explain why having Criminal Justice background

 

plays a role in the Human Resource world. HUMAN RESOURCE 3

 

Why I choose Human Resource as my Career Path I decided to take Criminal Justice classes to help approve upon my people skills and to be

 

aware of my surroundings. This class can help me to observe employees who might be in danger

 

to themselves and others, learn how to manage conflict and gain helpful communication skills in

 

a hostile situation. As a Human Resource representative, I must conduct back ground checks and

 

the Criminal Justice classes will teach me how to interpret those back-ground checks. It is also

 

important to have Criminal Justice knowledge because Human Resources houses a lot of rules

 

and regulations to ensure employee safety, just as employees of the criminal justice field must

 

abide by laws of the state?s due to people?s rights.

 

As a Human Resource representative, we must have good communication skills, be a

 

strong decision maker and have great customer service skills. Human Resource positions can

 

vary from human resources specialist, recruitment specialist, human resources manager and

 

employment interviewer. Day to day responsibilities for Humana Resource professionals are

 

recruiting new employees, searching for new employees by posting job listings, attending career

 

fairs and visiting Universities. Interview applicants about their experience, contact references

 

and perform background checks on applicants. After an applicant is hired, the Human Resource

 

representative is required to conduct an employee orientation providing information about

 

benefits and working conditions.

 

Human Resource representatives must be knowledgeable about Human Resource laws

 

and government regulations on a national level. Human Resource representatives are responsible

 

for maintaining, filing and keeping records on all employees and applicants. Having Criminal

 

Justice back ground will help in the Human Resource field when faced with employees who have

 

problems with supervisors or other co-workers. It is the responsibility of the Human Resource HUMAN RESOURCE 4 representative to arrange a meeting within the department. Human Resource representatives

 

often become referees between employees to handle common workplace disputes. Human

 

Resource representatives handle a variety of employment concerns including firing and

 

disciplining staff. Human Resource representative are responsible for answering questions

 

relating to salary, benefits and workplace rules within a company.

Human Resources Managers ? 9 percent, a little faster than average.

 

Human Resources Specialists ? 5 percent, slower than average.

 

Training and Development Managers ? 7 percent, as fast as average.

 

The good news is that companies and enterprises are the businesses that in need of Human

 

Resource representatives. I work for a huge insurance company and hope to apply for a position

 

in my company. To have a career in Human Resources a Bachelorette degree is required, so I am very

 

hopeful for my future goals. Learning this information has made me very happy that I have come

 

back to school after 12 years to finish my degree. After plugging in my personal information on

 

this website Pay Scale it says I will make 36k a year starting out as Human Resource Specialist

 

with 0 years of Human Resource experience in Kentucky. When I changed it to having 2 years? HUMAN RESOURCE 5 experience the salary raised to $41k. My hope is, that by the time I graduate I will have been

 

with my company for 8 years and my salary will be more than $41k due to my history with my

 

company. When I searched for how much the pay scale is Canada it stated $65,000- $75,000 per

 

web site living in-Canada. After searching how much a Human Resource specialist could make

 

in France it said $56,000 per website glass door.

 

Potential Job stressors would be working long hours and over 40 hours a week. Pressure

 

from the management to hire more people. Scared I may hire someone who faked their way thru

 

the interview process and can?t deliver what they promised, leaving me to blame. Overwhelmed

 

with all the filing of paperwork and managing a tight schedule. Job Hazards in the Human

 

Resource Field is having to fire someone and they become enraged and attack me. The

 

possibility of having that one person who doesn?t take getting fired well and they come in with a

 

gun. It could be hazard and a stressor if I had to tell someone they didn?t get the job. I am not

 

good at giving that type of news.

 

Even with all the stressors and Hazards I would still enjoy a career in Human Resource.

 

Human Resource specialist and mangers will always be in demand. We won?t be replaced by

 

computers or robots in 20 years. I also enjoy meeting people, interviewing people and reviewing

 

resumes. I enjoy giving the great news that someone has gotten the job they want and begin their

 

career path. While I will not enjoy having to reprimand or fire someone, I am confident that

 

classes I am taking in both Criminal Justice and Human Resources will teach me how to deal

 

with these situations. I am sure I will gain the confidence I need to take on these situations. HUMAN RESOURCE 6
